Before reading "The Big Tiny" I didn’t know much of anything about tiny houses only because it never occurred to me that there are houses that are actually 100 square feet. The smallest I truly thought a house would be is the size of a studio apartment, but still that isn’t even a house obviously. It honestly astonishes me that people live in houses so tiny and have become so content with it! It for one makes me feel extremely grateful for the house I live in today and have lived in in the past, but it makes me wonder will I ever have such an open mindset like Dee Williams has? My house being roughly around 2,500 square feet I’d say I would live in a tiny house for a few days just to experience the huge difference. There a plenty of reasons as to why I wouldn’t want to permanently live in a tiny house, but one of the biggest reasons is because I’ve always aspired to own a big house of my own. And even along the journey of achieving that big home of mine, I’ve always pictured myself living in modern built apartments, like the ones that are built on top of Starbucks and cute cafes. In all honesty I probably wouldn’t enjoy it at all because I like to more room than just to walk around. There are a few things I couldn’t live without, disregarding the essentials such as food, cleansing supplies, water, etc., I wouldn’t be able to live without my computer, books, and a lot of blankets! In regards to it being 2015 I’m just assuming that there are now modern day tiny homes that possibly have heaters installed because I definitely can’t live without a heater even if I live in the valley! This read was not only an enjoyably entertaining read it was as well very eye-opening; I hope to one day have such an open-mindset as Williams.
